Vast Promotional Experience & Exposure
The Amgen Tour of California will be viewed by local, national and international audiences numbering in the millions. The Tour provides a platform to showcase the beauty of Big Bear Lake, the San Bernardino Mountains and surrounding County, as well as the State of California. An estimated 250,000 spectators will view Stage 6 – from Pasadena to Big Bear Lake – live and in person, with tens-of-thousands anticipated to crowd the length of the Tour’s first ever mountain-top finish in Big Bear Lake.
In addition to specific local sponsorship package opportunities detailed below, local Tour Sponsors also benefit from the Amgen Tour of California’s significant efforts and resources that promote the Tour and its Host Cities for several months prior to the event. Some of these benefits include:
- Over 3.5 Billion online, print, and broadcast impressions worldwide.
- A media entourage of over 300 that follows the entire race.
- 42 hours of race coverage on VERSUS, including 19 hours of live coverage.
Association with a world-class event that is the largest of its kind in North America and is backed by one of the leading sports marketers in the world, AEG.
Multiple Days, Multiple Events
The local impact of the Tour will be felt beyond just the actual day of the Stage 6 Finish. The Tour entourage will begin arriving for set up in Big Bear the day before, as will some spectators. On the day of the Tour’s first-ever mountain-top Finish, related events (such as the Lifestyle Festival) will take place before, during, and after the actual Finish to provide entertainment and encourage spectators and participants to linger overnight in Big Bear.
Spectators can also ride the 1st Annual Tour de Big Bear on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Participants can choose from a variety of high-elevation bike rides in Big Bear’s clean-air, blue-sky mountain paradise and ride some of the same routes that Amgen Tour of California professionals rode the day before.
These rides are designed to accommodate all types of road and mountain bike riders, from families with children to expert cyclists, and include detailed route maps, t-shirts, local discounts, and Expo entry. Kids under 12 are FREE with a paid adult. Local sponsorship packages include Tour de Big Bear exposure.
